CALLAWAY – A ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Monday, March 14 for the new solar power energy array owned by Pandorf Land and Cattle near Callaway. At 600 kw, the setup is the largest solar array in the state of Nebraska. Community members and dignitaries first gathered for a lunch and presentation at the Callaway Community Center, then the event moved to the location of the solar array, about eight miles northwest of Callaway. Those in attendance included Lt. Gov. Mike Foley and state Sen. Matt Williams of Gothenburg. The project took about a year to finalize and was developed by Innovative Solar, LLC.
