INDIANAPOLIS (AP) Shavon Shields scored 20 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead 11th-seeded Nebraska to a 70-58 victory over Number 6 seed Wisconsin in the second round of the Big Ten Conference tournament Thursday night. Nebraska (16-17) will face Number 3 seed Maryland in Friday’s quarterfinals. Wisconsin (20-12), the defending Big Ten Tournament champion, was eliminated in its first game of the tournament for the first time since 2011. The Cornhuskers avenged a 72-61 loss to Wisconsin on February 10th. Shields missed that game because of injury. Nebraska led for the final 15 minutes of the game. Wisconsin got to within three at 55-52 with 5:39 but got no closer. Glynn Watson Junior added 16 for the Cornhuskers, Benny Parker had 12 and Andrew White the Third added 10.
