Olga Ann Michalski, 75, of rural Burwell passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2018, at her home south of Burwell.

Mrs. Michalski’s wishes were to be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 28, 2018, at the First Christian Church in Burwell with Pastor J.B. Sikes officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Family’s Choice. Ord Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Olga was born September 21, 1942, on the family farm in Valley County, south of Burwell, Nebraska to Joseph “Joe” and Mary (Bruha) Urbanovsky. She was raised on the family farm and received her education at District #32 Country School and graduated as Valedictorian from Burwell High School in 1961.

On May 12, 1962, Olga was united in marriage to Eugene Michalski at Elyria, Nebraska. The couple resided in Anchorage, Alaska until September of 1962, while Eugene served in the Army. They returned to the family farm 8 miles south of Burwell where they farmed and raised their four children.
Olga worked as a secretary for the Burwell Alfalfa Mill and Bureau of Reclamation. She was a legal secretary for Stowell Law Office and Weems Law Office and was instrumental in the operations of the family farm.

Olga enjoyed visiting and playing cards with family and friends; baking and cooking. She loved to dance and listen to Polka music. Olga was always willing to go out of her way and be of service to others.
Survivors include her husband, Eugene of Burwell; three sons and daughters-in-law, Daryl and Jennifer Michalski of Burwell, Paul and Virginia Michalski of Elyria and Karl and Nickole of Shelton; a daughter and son-in-law, Kaylee Michalski and Rafael Bressani of Omaha; 14 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; a brother, Stanley R. Urbanovsky of St. Paul; and a host of special nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Blanche Wadas.
