Strong Second Half Sends Bobcats To Lincoln

The South Loup Bobcats are headed to the Class D-1 finals. Trailing 14-6 at halftime the Bobcats scored 28 unanswered points enroute to 34-14 victory over Medicine Valley on Monday night.

Leading the Bobcats offensively was Senior Quarterback Jack Rush, who fittingly rushed his way to the win with 46 carries for 243 yards and four touchdowns.

Equally as impressive was the South Loup defense, which not only held Medicine Valley scoreless in the second half, the Raiders were basically held motionless, not picking up a single first down.

The Bobcats will now get set to take on East Butler in the Championship game after East Butler took down D-1 Powerhouse Howells/Dodge 22-12.

The D-1 State Championship will be played Monday at 10:30 at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln.
